Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) / Supervisor to join our growing maintenance team. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for performing and overseeing aircraft maintenance, guiding apprentices and technicians and ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be a licensed AME with strong technical knowledge, sound judgment and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced maintenance environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates clearly and can balance hands-on maintenance responsibilities with effective team supervision.
Available Shifts:
• Full-time schedule based on operational requirements
• Flexibility may be required to support aircraft maintenance schedules and customer needs
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform, inspect and certify aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications and troubleshooting within the scope of the applicable AME licence and company authorizations
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of AMEs, apprentices and maintenance personnel
• Assign work based on operational priorities, employee qualifications and available resources
• Provide technical guidance, training and mentorship to AME apprentices and junior team members
• Review work packages, task cards, technical records and maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Transport Canada requirements, company policies, approved maintenance procedures and applicable aircraft manuals
• Monitor maintenance progress, identify delays or technical concerns and communicate updates to management
• Support aircraft inspections, defect rectification, component replacement and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and determine appropriate corrective action using approved technical data
• Ensure tools, equipment, parts and materials are properly controlled, maintained and used
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure workplace hazards or maintenance concerns are reported and addressed
• Maintain clean, organized and professional hangar and shop environments
• Coordinate with customers, pilots, operations personnel and management regarding maintenance requirements and aircraft status
• Assist with quality assurance, process improvements and the continued development of maintenance procedures
• Perform additional maintenance or supervisory duties as required

Requirements
Qualifications & Attributes:
• Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence
• M1 and/or M2 rating required, depending on experience and company operational needs
• Previous aircraft maintenance experience in a licensed AME capacity
• Supervisory, lead-hand or team leadership experience is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations and aircraft maintenance standards
• Experience with general aviation, turboprop or commercial aircraft is considered an asset
• Strong troubleshooting, inspection and technical decision-making abilities
• Ability to accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and technical drawings
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to mentor apprentices and support employee development
• Safety-conscious, dependable and accountable
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
